Impact

Climate Change

We already witness more frequent and extreme storms, unprecedented heatwaves, flooding and melting snowcaps. All that after global temperature has increased 1°C since the industrial revolution. The United Nations now aim to limit global warming by another 1.5°C.

Energy efficiency, renewable power generation and storage alongside reforestation are tools to make the world a greener place again. It will be difficult, but we have the technology to do it.

Carbon Emissions & Carbon Credit

You cannot prevent the CO2 Emissions from working, living, driving and travelling but you can create a balance.

A carbon credit enables the owner to offset a certain amount of carbon dioxide. One credit is equal to one ton of carbon emissions becoming carbon neutral. For large companies, carbon credits have become compulsory, but smaller companies, organisations and even individuals voluntarily can use carbon credits to become carbon neutral.
This growing demand has already increased the Carbon Credit price by 3750% since inception.

Green Asset Portfolio Pilot Projects

We build renewable energy facilities primarily across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and participate in reforestation projects around the world.

Our pilot portfolio consists of options on operating solar and wind farms in Eastern Europe and Turkey with licences to expand. Among the first assets are 15 MW Wind in Romania and 18MW Solar in Anatolia as well as a 35 MW solar and hydrogen plant to be built in Hungary. This is enough green power to supply a town of 170.000 and we have a pipeline to more than 10x that output in 18-24 months.

By 2025 we aim to plant about 100 Million trees and be on our way to 10000MW renewable
power plant capacity (10 Watt per Token).
This Green Asset Portfolio will generate about 7.5 Million Tons of Carbon Certificates every year.

Social Impact Pilot Projects

Reforestation Uganda

Together with trees for the future (Trees.org), EcoWatts first Impact project has committed funds to raise 500 families in Uganda out of poverty by training them to develop family owned farming plots as well as planting 1 million trees.

The Forest Garden Program is a simple, replicable, and scalable approach with proven success.  How? It starts with trees. Through a 4-year training program, called the Forest Garden Approach, farmers plant thousands of trees that protect and bring nutrients back to the soil. This helps farmers grow a variety of fruits and vegetables. Forest Garden farmers gain increases in income and access to food, even in the first year, all while improving the environment.

Disaster relief Kerala/India

In the fall of 2021 the Kerala Region of India experienced heavy floods. Thousands of people had to be evacuated and 184 relief camps were set up. Several remote areas were cut off from supplies and had to rely on volunteer food drops. Our entire EcoWatt team in India volunteered and travelled to cut off villages to supply several hundred people with 1-month worth of food and staples sponsored by our social impact project. We are very proud of our team for living up to what we all aim to stand for.
